Hold onto your hat!

Almost every evening, we gather together a little bit before dinner and sit out on the patio and have drinks and snacks, and talk a little bit about science.
Yes, I've climbed the peak in the background. There are a lot of cactus.

The wind also picks up in the afternoons, so it gets really windy. Sometimes we have to get creative with holding down light objects, like corn chips, with heavier objects, so that they don't blow away in the wind.
Cost of camera lens exceeds cost of aluminum foil platter with corn chips by a factor of about 3,568 (at least).
Also, the guacamole is going brown.
The wind can really whip up from the cove. It reminds me of nights in the Mojave Desert that were too windy for salad, when all of the lettuce would blow away.
